The Queensbury Dental Difference

Microscope Enhanced Dentistry

MICROSCOPE ENHANCED DENTISTRY

At Queensbury, dental procedures that involve tooth repair are usually done using an Operative Microscope.

Microscope enhanced dentistry allows our dentists to see at a 20 times magnification the area they are working on. Most of our Operative Microscopes are linked to a wall-mounted television, allowing the dentist to take pictures and videos to show their patients, thus helping them to have a more clear understanding of their mouth and oral health.

Surgical Operative Microscopes are generally used by dental specialists such as endodontists (root canal specialists) and prosthodontists (crown and bridge specialists). However, at Queensbury Dental Centre, a general/family practice, we see an added value in using the microscope during more common treatments, such as fillings, for our patients.. Learn more here.

Direct Billing

ELECTRONIC INSURANCE CLAIM SUBMISSION

In our dental practice we submit your claim directly to your insurance provider. This gives you the flexibility to pay how you want, and even collect points on your rewards cards. Upon completion of treatment, we can electronically submit the claim on your behalf ensuring you are reimbursed quickly by your insurer.

We value your time and are willing to assist you in understanding your coverage breakdown, along with any other information you need. We also provide cost estimates of procedures to insurance providers.

Sedation Dentistry

SEDATION DENTISTRY

Many people fear dental procedures.

It takes only one bad experience to lose trust in a dentist. Patients might worry about feeling discomfort during a procedure, the local anesthetic not “taking,” the length of the treatment, or the injections required, to name a few concerns.

All of these factors can leave a patient feeling vulnerable and anxious. That’s where sedation dentistry comes in.

At Queensbury Dental Centre, our dental surgeons are trained to administer sedation for dental procedures. We provide intravenous sedation, and oral sedation when patients need help feeling more comfortable during treatment.

DENTAL FILLINGS

DENTAL FILLINGS

We provide different filling options, including bonding made from a composite resin for smaller cavities  and ceramic inlay or onlay fillings for larger cavities, which are made in our own laboratory from a high-density porcelain-like material.

Dental Crowns Icon - Queensbury Dental Clinic

VENEERS & CROWNS

VENEERS & CROWNS

Veneers are ultra-thin custom-made shells of tooth-covered ceramic materials that are bonded to the front of teeth in order to cover worn tooth enamel, teeth that have become discoloured, cracked or chipped, and teeth that have uneven spacing, are out of alignment, or worn down. A crown, also called a cap, is a hollow artificial tooth used to cover a damaged or decayed tooth. Crowns may be needed if you have a root canal, a large filling, or a
broken tooth. The crown restores the tooth and protects it from further damage.

DENTAL IMPLANTS

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Missing teeth and loose dentures cause many people to avoid social settings because they are self-conscious about their appearance. Current dental procedures, such as dental implants, can replace everything from a single missing tooth to a completely missing arch.

ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

ROOT CANAL TREATMENT

This treatment is necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection has a variety of causes: deep decay, repeated dental
procedures on the tooth, faulty crowns, or a crack or a chip in the tooth. A root canal treatment eliminates the infection and protects the tooth from further contamination.
